Fall Book Drive for Education Relief ☆

| December 13, 2010

Want to do something amazing with those textbooks cluttering up your home or office? We have a solution that benefits our campus, the earth, and students around the world! Be Green! Be responsible! Help out your fellow man by improving literacy while at the same time diverting these books from landfills.

Donate your unwanted college-level books published within the past 10 years (highlighting/writing in the books is fine.) For the second year, the TC chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honors society in education, has partnered with Better World Books (www.BetterWorldBooks.com) to run a book drive that will benefit the literacy initiatives of the World Fund, raising money for ongoing education relief efforts in Haiti. We would love to have your support!

Books collected will be sold online to raise a sustainable stream of funding for World Fund. If the books cannot be donated or sold, they are at the very least recycled.

Collection bins are located on the first floor of Zankel, Whittier, and Thompson Halls on the Teachers College campus. We also have some on Columbia’s main campus.

Thank you in advance for your help with this project – please spread the word!
